Registered Nurse – Surgical Scrub Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and resilient Surgical Scrub Nurse to join our busy OR suite. You will work side-by-side with our world-class surgical attendings, fellows, and surgical residents.
As a Scrub Nurse, you will be the backbone of our operating rooms—maintaining strict sterile fields, anticipating surgeon needs before they speak, and keeping chaos at bay when surgical complications arise.
Key Responsibilities:
OR Preparation: Set up sterile tables, count instruments, sponges, and needles before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Surgical Assistance: Pass instruments, lap pads, and sutures to attending surgeons and residents quickly and accurately during high-stakes surgeries.
Sterile Field Management: Rigorously monitor and maintain the sterile environment, calling out and rectifying any breaches immediately.
Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate closely with circulating nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical residents (e.g., Dr. Meredith Grey, Dr. Cristina Yang).
Patient Advocacy: Ensure safety protocols are strictly adhered to under pressure in multi-hour operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active RN License in the State of Washington.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume Operating Room or Level I Trauma Center setting preferred.
Strong ability to multitask while dealing with loud music, intense surgical personalities, and unexpected arterial bleeds.
Thick skin, laser focus, and a sense of humor.
